Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
